In January, Jennasis and Associates (JA) was chosen to participate in the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. How great is that? Jennifer Chernisky, President of JA, endured rigorous application and interview processes before being selected. Only those business owners who are deeply passionate about growing their businesses and creating local jobs are considered for this program — Chernisky certainly meets that criteria!
Over the course of this 12-week program, small business owners receive a practical and world-class business education with greater access to education, financial capital, and business support services – at no cost to the participants. Business owners are asked to make a significant time investment to get the most out of this program, which includes completing 11 learning sessions, creating a business growth plan, and participating in 8-10 hours of out-of-class activities each week. No one said it was going to be easy!
Chernisky is honored to have been selected to participate in this program alongside many other deserving entrepreneurs, like NEO Amusements, Hillson Nut Company, 1-2-3 Gluten Free, The Lakehouse Inn & Winery, and Shawn Paul Salon, among others. An opportunity like this will only reinvigorate her and the team, allowing Jennasis to grow and thrive all the more in the years to come.
This national program is delivered directly through Babson College, which is consistently ranked #1 in entrepreneurial education by US News & World Report. The 10,000 Small Businesses program operates in 19 markets across the country; and is affiliated locally through Cuyahoga Community College, where many of the sessions are taking place.
